Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Random Unread Books on my Kindle

This week’s topic was supposed to be: Memorable Things Characters Have Said. But, my Commonplace Book rarely has quotes of things characters have said. Except for the world not realizing that Magaret Mitchell wrote Rhett Butler’s famous line as “My dear, I don’t give a damn” and not “Frankly my dear….” and except for Auntie Mame proclaiming “Life’s a banquet and most poor bastards are starving to death,” I can’t think of anything too memorable right now. So, once again, I’m going rouge! 10 Random Books on my Kindle–all acquired between 2011 and 2014 and still not read (and probably never will be, except maybe …).

Have you read any of these titles? Leave me a comment or a link to your review. Have you done a post like this? Leave me a link to the post–or just leave me a comment listing some of the books languishing on your Kindle.

  1. Great idea and one I might steal down the line (or borrow, the greatest form of flattery, LOL). I have never read any of these, but have heard of several of them. I have soooooo many books languishing on my Kindle. I have started a shelf on my Goodreads account so I will know what is there but have only cataloged 300+ and there are over 1200 on there! Here is a link to my post for this week:

  2. Yeah — I read A Horse Called Sept. in ’13 — probably heard about it from you? I rated it well. Kids’ book. Also read A Distant Melody and liked it quite a bit more than the typical Christian historical romance.

  3. Haven’t read any, but oooh horse book! *Old* horse book! That is my exact wheelhouse*, and surprisingly I haven’t even heard of this one.
(*and by exact wheelhouse I mean I’ve read a couple hundred in my life, and I probably own another 5 dozen that I haven’t read yet because they’re super comfort reads, but I also have to be in Exactly The Right Mood to start one, that usually only happens 2 or 3 times a year. tl;dr I understand how they get pushed aside even when they’re short, haha)

  4. I have many unread books on my Kindle and will probably never get around to reading them. The only book on your list that I’ve read is Never Change by Elizabeth Berg. I rated it very high but I love her books so you should probably not let my rating influence your decision to read it.
