Top Ten Tuesday: Books On My Spring 2022 TBR

Spring arrives next week. Yet I’m looking at melting snow down here not far from the Ohio river. Here are my choices for Spring. We’ll see if I read any of them!

The Book Woman’s Daughter: A Novel by Kim Michele Richardson arrives May 3rd. Use the link to pre-order.

The Watermen: The Birth of American Swimming…. [Nonfiction] by Michael Loynd arrives June 7. Use the link to pre-order.

Anyone who support literacy as avidly as Dolly Parton gets my vote. I nabbed this the second it dropped. It’s my commute this week–good or bad, I’m finishing it for Dolly. Run Rose Run: A Novel by Dolly Parton and James Patterson. I think most people who don’t like Patterson are just sore they didn’t come up with his idea.

More Audio

An Observant Wife: A Novel by Naomi Ragen is already out and continues the story I loved in An Unorthodox Match.

The Bright Young Dead by Jessica Fellowes is the second book in her series of murder mysteries involving the famous Mitford sisters. I got book 5 from NetGalley a while back and recently finished book 1. I’m not sure how popular the Redesdales would have been had a murder or arrest happened at each of their girl’s birthday or coming out bashes, but they are good fun.

Print or Kindle

Love & Saffron: A Novel by Kim Fay is already out.

A Year of Mr Maybes by Judy Leigh arrives March 29th. I’m hoping for audio, but maybe…lol

Spring Magic by DE Stevenson. Come on, admit it! You knew there’d be one Dean Street book in here, right? $2.99 for Kindle

French Braid: A Novel by Anne Tyler arrives March 22nd.jkioi. Another “final” book by Anne Tyler. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.

Check out the rules at That Artsy Reader Girl and join in next week!

    1. They’re fun! Like someone said of James Bond movies, “leave your brains under the seat and don’t ask too many questions” lol. Just enjoy. It seems each book features one daughter going in order. I’ve read #1 and #5 (I got first it on Netgalley) and now I’m going in order).

    1. I’ve lost count! I haven’t read them all, but a British or Welsh blogger (I can’t remember which one at the moment–embarrassing!!! was doing an Anne Tyler read and there’s more than I thought. So many great, ordinary life stories from her. I love that.

  1. Nice list Lisa. I will be interested in seeing what you think about Run, Rose, Run. I have read mixed reviews. I have a couple of these on my TBR, so I hope you enjoy them all.

  2. Wonderful selections! I’m going to be reading The Book Woman’s Daughter too — I have such high expectations, since I loved the first book. I really enjoyed An Observant Wife, hope you do too. I’ll be interested to hear more about French Braid. It’s been years since I’ve read an Ann Tyler book, but I always enjoy them.
