About 20 Books of Summer

Cathy at 746 Books is hosting her 20 Books of Summer Challenge again this year from June 1 to September 1. The challenge runs from 1 June to 1 September. There are options to read 10 or 15 books instead of the full 20. And you can swap a book, or change the list half way through if you want. And you can decide to drop your goal from 20 to 15 or 10 if you want to. This is a very flexible challenge!

I’ve done this for several years. In the past I’ve had my long daily commute to work to help. This year I am retired, but get out a lot, so we’ll see if I manage to listen to as many audios. I’ve also just put my table and chairs back out on my deck for the summer. Last year I loved sitting out there and reading in the evening. Hopefully, that will be enjoyable again this year.

If you’d like to join in you can sign up here.

Books I May Read or Listen To

Some of these publish later in the summer.

I don’t do well with lists of books I ‘must’ read at a certain time–to much like school homework. So, I may read some of these, all of these, or none of these. I want to leave room for books I haven’t met yet or for books I own or that are languishing on my kindle.

Are  you doing the 10/15/20 Books of Summer this year? Leave me a comment or a link to your post.

  1. Nice list!
Yesterday was our book club meeting – where each member presents a book they recently read. Two of them actually ended up presenting the same book: Strangers in the Night, and really liked it

  2. I can’t see all your books as the picture gets cut off – you might need to make it a bit smaller (viewing from my PC). I have read and enjoyed Pineapple Street and Bewildering Cares of those. I am planning to do it but am fretting over my pile at the moment!

  3. Nice list, Lisa. Pineapple Street, Mrs. Porter Calling and Silver Ladies are on my TBR, but not my 20 Books list. I hope you enjoy whatever you pick up.
