I’ve had The Murmur of Bees on my e-shelves for a very long time. I know nothing about the historical events of the Mexican revolution – am I going to find the book hard to follow because of that?

No. Just keep in mind that Texas and California (and the territory in between like New Mexico) were once part of Mexico–we won that territory in the Mexican War……No need to understand a typical colonial revolution! lol

Great mix of titles and topics, and I love how these all look together. The Cat Who Saves Books is one I’m hoping to get my hands on soon.

It’s good. If you have late elementary–or up kids, it is a great read-aloud too. I won’t spoil it and say why!
